Language courses require the student to actually dedicate themselves to learning, which is why I am promoting the functional use of the Learn Chinese software. I am enrolled in a cultural exchange program and I get to study the Eastern arts, medicine, and sciences. The language requirement tends to get a shoved aside more often than I care to admit. It’s not that I am not interested, because I do love learning it. It’s just that with so many different studies on my plate I seem to focus on the subjects that come to me with ease. The need for games in a Chinese language program can’t be denied, at least not by me. Learning Chinese is actually rather challenging if you take it straight. By looking for a fun way to achieve the mastery of the language you are much more likely to be able to grasp concepts and language laws. At least this has been our experience. Read more…
I had heard that children learn Chinese fast. In fact, I had heard that children can master Chinese faster than they can master other languages. I really don’t know if this is completely true, but from recent experience and watching my daughter grasp the spoken Chinese word I would have to say that there has to be some truth to this concept. My daughter is 7, and while she isn’t reading Chinese we are using an audio course to help her learn the language. Read more…
