I consider myself to be somewhat language impaired although it seems like there are Chinese language study courses that even I can master. I know that it’s important to get a handle on some things in life, and communication certainly tops the list. We are adopting from China and it has been helpful to have a few phrases here and there, so we figured it would be really excellent if one of us could speak the languages well enough to enhance our communication efforts. My parents had decided that my whole summer was going to be spent learning Chinese in summer school (obviously they were a bit clueless about Chinese language software) since we just found out my dad is being transferred yet again. First they tell me that we’re moving again in the beginning of my junior year and then they thought I would be on board with giving up the summer with my friends.
