Your Language Queries: Chinese Language Jobs

Sharon asks…
What kind of jobs are available to a Japanese Studies Major with a Chinese Language Minor?
I am fascinated with foreign Languages, especially East Asian languages, and I want to study them and study abroad in those respective countries in College. I want a major in Japanese and a minor in Chinese, not the other way around. Other than teaching, what kind of jobs would I get with these degrees?
I was thinking maybe international Law, business, maybe even translating, but in order to do Law or Business, don’t I need to have a degree in those fields?
Any serious answers are greatly appreciated.

Clive answers:
I’m having the same problem, I want to master in japanese no matter what; however, teaching or translating for a living its not an option. I came with the conclusion that if someone wants to major in a language, that person needs a second major to back it up. I’m doing marketing and japanese, in your case it would be law/business.
Good luck with your studies :D
